On Friday 2nd August 2019, Inala Community House Community Engagement team helped to organise Inala Biota Street Party celebrating free food, music, activities and fun for all ages within our multicultural community.
From 3-7pm, the free community event was held at Biota Street, Inala. We had prepared a variety of free activities to enjoy including:
- Live music and dance
- Various cultural cuisines
- Silence disco
- Skate deck painting
- Art and craft
- History and memory sharing project
- Games
- Polaroid photo wall
We invited the public to share with us their happy memories of Biota Street, Inala. It is a great exercise to be more mindful and appreciative towards shared community spaces over the years.
Our Community Engagement team provided free “crazy hair” service – great fun for all ages as you can see!
We also served free Ethiopian coffee and hot snacks to all who visited our stall. Yum!
