Every year the South West Progress Association holds the Awards to recognise outstanding individuals who give their time in support of community organisations and groups within their community.

Special presenters for the day included Hon. Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier and Minister for Trade, State Member for Inala, Cr Charles Strunk, Councillor for Forest Lake Ward and Milton Dick MP, Federal Member for Oxley.

Please join me in congratulating and celebrating the wonderful work these local Queenslanders do in our much-loved community and state. Go Queensland,” Councillor Charles Strunk said.

What a day! I am humbled and honoured to be nominated and selected for this award but I know there are many out there who contribute to my accolade. I am grateful every day to be working for our amazing community. Finally I want to thank my family for always being supportive and even volunteering alongside me at community events,” our Community Engagement Manager Haley Kiata said.
