On Friday 16th November 2018, ‘My Place’ Family Day Care celebrated Educators’ Christmas Party with all our valued Educators, their families and staff.
Starting at 6.30pm, the celebration was held at the function centre of Springlake Hotel (1 Springfield Lakes Blvd, Springfield Lakes QLD 4300). We were thrilled to host at a bigger venue than last year due to the significant increase in our Educators’ interest and numbers. We estimated a total of 70 people joining us for this year’s celebration.
Thank you to our team of Coordinators and Administration staff who arrived earlier to set up the venue before guests’ arrival.
‘My Place’ Family Day Care Team Leader Barbara Stonehouse and Senior Coordinator Kathy Angus did a welcome speech to officially thank everyone for attending our event.
“We would like to present a special farewell gift to one of our longest-serving Educators – Tammy Stafford. Tammy has been with our service for over 20 years and she will soon move to the countryside. She has been a fantastic supporter of our playgroups, Educator training sessions and all events. We will all miss you dearly Tammy and thank you for your service,” said ‘My Place’ Family Day Care Team Leader Barbara Stonehouse.
Raffle tickets were sold throughout the night for various amazing prizes. We also gave away one lucky door prize, and anyone was welcomed to join in the fun Secret Santa gift exchange!
Everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet spread for the night including roast meats, roast vegetables, seafood, antipasto platters, dips and condiments along with a variety of desserts.
“This year’s Educators’ Christmas Party was a delightful success. It was lovely to be able to meet our Educators and their partners, children and families. Everyone was making friends, enjoying the food and drinks, dancing and celebrating. We have received positive feedback about the venue and food. We look forward to organising more great events for our Educators and families,” said ‘My Place’ Family Day Care Team Leader Barbara Stonehouse.
Finally, every Educator received a special Christmas gift from us – a uniquely made ‘My Place’ Family Day Care pen. Our service also subsidised the cost of every dinner guest, not just Educators but their families and friends as well. We sincerely thank all our Educators for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
