On Wednesday 27th November 2019, ‘My Place’ Family Day Care celebrated Children’s Christmas Party with our children, educators, families and staff.
From 9.30am, the free annual celebration was held at Kruger Parade Baptist Church (2 Henderson St., Redbank QLD). We welcomed everyone to come dressed in their best festive clothes and to bring a plate to share.
In the welcome speech, our senior coordinator Kathy McLeod acknowledged the traditional owners, discussed housekeeping matters and introduced all our ‘My Place’ Family Day Care team members especially for first-time visiting parents.
At 9.30am, we started off with a graduation ceremony for all our little ones graduating to prep in 2020. Everyone was dressed in a shiny sash and a hat, as our team leader Barbara Stonehouse helped present a certificate each to commemorate this big milestone.

At 10am, it was time for a show! Thank you Star Parties Entertainment. We sang, we danced and enjoyed a magic performance. Children were excited to line up and pet Max the Magic Bunny too.
Hello Santa! Everyone was invited to take a photo with Santa, who gave every child a wrapped children’s book as present.
We also had an animal farm where the children could cuddle and have fun with baby animals.
Morning tea was served. Everyone was sitting around on picnic mats enjoying cut-up fruits, biscuits, cupcakes, snacks and more.
It was great to see such an amazing turnout and everyone enjoying themselves on this joyous occasion. Thank you to all our coordinators for their hard work in pulling off our annual big event.
