On Friday 9th December 2016, ‘My Place’ Family Day Care organised a 2016 Children’s Graduation and Christmas Party. We invited all our children, families and Educators to participate in this major end-of-year celebration.
‘My Place’ Family Day Care Manager Sandi Herbert officiated the event with a welcome speech:
“The Children’s Graduation Party is an ongoing tradition at ‘My Place’ Family Day Care. We are sad to say goodbye to our children who would be leaving our service for Prep next year, but at the same time we are incredibly honoured to have watched them grow over the years under our care.”
‘My Place’ Family Day Care Educational Leader Kathy Angus proceeded to announce the names of every graduating child who got onstage to receive a formal certificate and a little gift. We had a total of 30 graduating children this year.
After the Children’s Graduation Ceremony, we invited the Fabulous Lemon Drops (www.fabulouslemondrops.com.au) who performed a highly interactive children’s entertainment show. They sang, danced and played various instruments. They also introduced two animal mascots Ted the Bear and Flip the Frog to further interact with the children. Some children were also invited to get onstage to dress up in different costumes and join the performance.
Overall, both children and adults thoroughly enjoyed the highly entertaining performance.
We also had a special guest all the way from North Pole!
Later, we had a Meet-the-Santa session as each child queued up and received a special gift from Santa Claus. It also provided a good photography opportunity.
Meanwhile, a healthy and delicious morning tea was enjoyed by all.
“We couldn’t be happier with today’s event. We would like to thank all our Parents, Guardians and Families who took their time off on this Friday morning to witness this significant milestone at the Children’s Graduation. Fabulous Lemon Drops did an amazing job entertaining the crowd – it was like a Wiggles concert. Everyone was also dressed in their best festive clothes. Today is definitely one of the best events we’ve had this year,” said ‘My Place’ Family Day Care Manager Sandi Herbert.
