Maxi-Cosi Child Car Seat Recalls

We would like to advise all parents or child carers who own the Maxi-Cosi’s Euro Convertible Car Seat A2 and A4 models that they have been officially recalled from sale over safety concerns. (Source)
Product Recall

The A2 model was recalled after parents found the straps of the model could dangerously loosen while driving.
The A4 model was voluntarily removed by the company last week due to the lack of safety standard certification, meaning it was effectively being sold illegally.
The diagram below shows how you can identify a faulty Maxi-Cosi car seat:

The seat manufacturer Dorel will provide a replacement cover for the A2 model to make it safe to use. For the A4 model, a replacement will be offered.
