Inala Community House: ‘It’s In The Bag’ Christmas Charity Drive

Share the Dignity (www.sharethedignity.com.au) is an Australian national charity organisation bringing dignity to women via donation and distribution of female sanitary items. It specifically supports women in crisis like poverty, homelessness and domestic violence, as well as drought-stricken farming communities, Aboriginal and remote Indigenous communities that lack access.

Started in 2015, Share the Dignity has been running its nationwide ‘It’s In The Bag’ Christmas campaign encouraging everyone to donate either new or lightly used handbags filled with female essentials, and possibly something more special like Christmas card or small note of support:

On Tuesday 21st November 2017, Inala Community House was grateful to receive 63 donated handbags via Share the Dignity!

These donated handbags will go towards our most vulnerable clients in Inala and surrounding areas facing severe life challenges like settlement, poverty, homelessness, domestic violence and more.

‘It’s In The Bag’ essentials:

shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, sanitary items, hairbrush etc.

On behalf of our clients, Inala Community House would like to sincerely thank Share the Dignity and its two volunteers Naomi and Jan for bringing these early Christmas gifts to us this year!

Celebrate this wonderful season of giving by donating and/or volunteering with Inala Community House. For more information, contact our team: 3372 1711 | 38 Sittella St, Inala, QLD | www.ich.org.au
