Child Protection Family Fun Day

Child abuse can be categorised into physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect.
Under the Child Protection Act 1999, it does not matter how much a child is harmed, but whether a child:

  • has suffered harm, is suffering harm, or is at risk of suffering harm
  • does not have a parent able and willing to protect them from harm.

Family CPFFD September Event
The annual Queensland Child Protection Week will be held from 6-12 September to bring together the local community in recognition that “Child protection is everyone’s business”. Children and young people are the most vulnerable in our community and it is the responsibility of all adults to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children.
On 23rd September 2015, ICH welcomes everyone – especially those who work with children and young people on a daily basis – to join us on this fun-filled day. Together we can celebrate our role within the community to ensure children and young people to be properly nurtured, safe and living a life free from harm.
Meanwhile, if you would like to report any suspected child abuse or exploitation please call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or the Child Protection Helpline on 132 111.
