Launched in April 2018, Kick Start Inala is a new community program which aims to provide inclusive and sustainable soccer opportunities for our children, young people and families in Inala.

June 17th’s Kick Start Inala Community Cup marked its first ever public event. From 8.30am to 5pm, we welcomed everyone to join us for a full day of family-friendly fun at local C.J. Greenfield Park.

The biggest thank you to our Kick Start Inala Coordinator, Butrus Haider, for ensuring everything ran as smoothly as possible. Everyone had a ball!

From April to June 2018, Kick Start Inala had been offering free weekly afternoon soccer sessions at five local schools: Serviceton South State School, Durack State School, Islamic College of Brisbane, Inala State School and Richlands East State School.

All students (Year 5s and Year 6s) were then invited to participate in the June 17th’s Kick Start Inala Community Cup, putting their learned skills to test!

Besides the children’s soccer tournament, we also held a tournament for adults to join in the fun!

For Men’s Open (16 years and above), we had 12 team slots available. $100 team registration fee, with a chance to win $500 cash prize.

For Women’s Open (16 years and above), we had 4 team slots available. $100 team registration fee, with a chance to win $200 cash prize.

Besides the exciting soccer matches, everyone was welcomed to bring their families and friends along to enjoy various free and fun activities such as sausage sizzle, inflatables, rock-climbing, zorb balls, live music and more.

We welcome everyone to join our Kick Start Inala Community Cup Grand Finale at Lions FC (133 Pine Road, Richlands) this Saturday (23rd June 2018) 5pm. You can also watch the main game Lions FC VS Mackay and Whitsundays Magpies Crusaders United FC. Bring your family and friends – see you there!
